Default Choosing a new car

I know ive posted before about a beemer and things, but im trying to decide on what car to get next.
When you start looking around, really there is not that much of a choice when your under 25.
Ive looked into a few cars, but either the cost of the car or the insurance is too high.
Im only looking at spending up to 3k maybe 4k for a car.
Insurance, obviously not stupid, but i can go fairly high.

An impreza would be nice but they are a bit above my byuing price.
Ive looked at Celica st185 gt4, BMW 325i sports, Clio Williams, Honda Vtec's, Golf Gti's. etc.
I used to have a GTI-R and loved every minute (when it was on the road), and id love something of that power and noise, but you cant.
The latest idea was the clio williams and tune it a bit, as they are only light and i thought the bhp per tonne wouldnt be bad. But the cars got a boy racers look.

any ideas people

Sorry its a naff thread

How about a Legacy Turbo?
I looked at insurance for one of them for me, and it was just over £1k (I'm 22). Nice cars, quick as well, and a lot cheaper than the Impreza.

Otherwise, the newer of the Nissan 200SX? Nice looking thing, & I believe they're quite tuneable.

S13 200SX is a good bet...although tail-happy, so you'd better be comfy with rwd, otherwise you'll be in a hedge.

Gen-4 Honda Prelude VTi is in that range...185-197bhp, 4ws, Honda build and reliability...and it's a pretty good drive, too.

Slightly more sensible is the Honda Civic VTi (3 or 5-door, avoid the saloon though)...but still 160bhp and an 8k redline!

306GTi-6 should be that price - cracking handling, decent engine. Very good option.

Corrado VR6 - again, a classic.

Is that good enough to be going on with?
