Default Fabia VRS...anyone know anything??

I'm doing a bit of research for a vehicle to replace the wife's Corsa as a second car to go with my blob eye WRX.

Are there any good websites that have reviews/specs etc? BHP??

Anyone on here got one? The nearest I've been to one was a Golf GT TDI 130 PD...how would they compare (realise there's a lot of difference in price...the Golf was £18k...)

What's the interior like? I'm presuming it'll be SEATish.

Ignoring the badge, what are people's feelings on these?

Cheers.

They are great.

Feel far faster than the much heavier Golf, very well built.

Dashboard is a little bland but seating is very good.

190bhp and 320lbft is only a £400 remap away.

Have a look at www.skoda.co.uk and download a brochure.

The Skoda version of scoobynet is at www.briskoda.net

You can find reviews on www.dieselcar.com (Goto the diesel files and then on-line articles)

Cheers
Lee

Lee is right, I have one now and its a tidy package. I'm averaging 50mpg, lower tax, group 7 insurance are nice for starters and it needs the traction control to stop it wheels spinning in second - torque is immense. The only thing I could criticise is the handling which isn't as bad as some say but £500 on new springs and dampers would make it one of the best hot hatches about. Go to briskoda as Lee suggests, those guys know their stuff and welcome new members.

I bought one approx 5 months ago and they are great little cars, suprisingly fast especially in 3rd upwards...overtaking is very easy dont even have to change down leave it in 4th or 5th and put your foot down and it will pull. Even at motorway speeds 80mph upwards in 6thn and it still pulls strong right upto 135mph

Very well built as per VW, seats are very supportive but unfortunatly a bad colour(light grey with black insert) get mucky very easily.

Yep, over at www.briskoda.net we are very welcoming and try to help as much as possible. There are a couple of reviews, one of which was written by a SEAT owner:

They're a great car downsides for me are lifeless steering and sh1te VW group handling. Upsides are price, economy, performance - 300lb/ft+ torque

It's bloody good at what it sets out to do.

some tefflon spray from halfords will sort this out...

Wicked little cars, especially after a remap.

Was it because a flight of Swordfish biplanes would attack you and drop torpedos?
