New Magazine Out Now.....
called Practical Performance Car. Read some of it last night and first impressions are good. To give you an idea the cover feature is a 'how to purchase a mk1 Capri and install a 5 litre V8' to resemble the south african 'perana'. It's also got a feature on a mint 205 1.9 GTI Turbo Technics. It kind of reminds me when Revs first started out before it started getting written by school boys who watch far to many re-runs of Fast and Furious and have a subscription to Max Power on the QT
To sum it up it's a magazine for the true petrol head who doesnt have an endless supply of money so the feature cars are slightly more real world and in the grasp of your average 'joe'.
Thoroughly recommended.

Cheers mate, I'll give this a read. Max\Fast Car etc are all, as you say, written by 13yr olds with a fascination for boobies <snigger>. I have a subscription to Evo because I like the adult way in which it's written, but it is a little eliteist (sp?) - my car decisions are sadly never a toss-up between a GT3, Lambo or Koenigsegg !!!

It's a good mag, esp good to see Dave Walker back. Have to say I prefer Retro Car (is that what its called -can't remember!) which is along the same lines - take a 'classic' and tune the **** off it.... like some of the more interesting features in CCC befoe it became sh*t and closed.

BrettC, you should be able to get PPC from WHSmith or any good newsagents. I found it at my local Tesco store (Meadows, Camberley).

PPC and Retro Cars are both very good. Have read PPC cover to cover now, so looking forward to next months. I just hope they dont focus too much on RWD classics, and include a few Pugs, R5's, Golfs in there as well.

Capri and install a 5 litre V8'
Did this conversion back in '88 along with the T5 Cosworth box and X pack arches... though i used the Rover V8 at a paltry 3.5litres! Albeit with a few choice mods.... Holley 4 barrel carb..ported heads...lairy cams...LSD's... "A" frames....
{sigh}....
