Feeling a bit gutted !

Sold my MK2 Golf yesterday, we had it from new when I won it in the Daily Mirror aged 18, my dad ran it for 13 years then gave it me, I ran it for two and was offered a Mondeo (Y reg, 2001, 1.8 LX, for 3 grand) hence the need to chage, was going to store it but my storage space had gone and couldnt keep it at home so it had to go, went to a nice bloke called Gary who turned up in the most fantastic MK4 Golf 4motion, smoothed, 19 inch BBS wheels, mega ice, lovely. At least its gone to a good home. God I will miss that Golf, the only thing that I thought was better was the Scoob I drove, nothing else, T5, Fiat Coupe Turbo, S3, nothoing really got me the same way.
So now am the proud owner of a Sharan and a Mondeo, rock bottom for me that so I need kind words and suggestions, it hasnt escaped my notice that for what I could sell the Mondeo for I could finally acheive Scoob ownership, its just the divorce that puts me off (a bit), I shall give it a few months before I broatch that one with the missus, to be honest, apart from it being fairly slow the Mondeo is a good car and handles well but I got buzzed by a 320i before and in the Golf I would have had a good old go at it, grrr.

Move on Jacko, for what it's worth I think you've probably done the right thing.
Oh and ignore the naysayers- and the nobber.

Richi, yeah your right but I couldnt turn the Mondeo down at the price, it is actually quite nice to drive and for the winter its loads better. Would have kept it if the storage was available but I was stuck.
And no Im not gay, or homophobic, perhaps a little sentimental but the People carrier bit gives the game away !

Nah, soft brown leather, just the styles have changed a bit, found it in the loft and my wife said that there was no way she would let me wear it, therefore she turned it into and leather jacket in the style of Indiana Jones for the kids, made a whip and trophy bag as well, they already had the hat, quite effective really and solved the problem as to whether it went to age concern, imagine that a pensioner in a 80's leather, cool !
