I got a cooper "s" last sept. If you don't need more boot space than one tesco's bag, or room in the back for non but amputees! then they are brilliant. Go for the chilli pack option, Was £1300. don't know how much this year? this gives you 17" alloys, 6 stack cd, air con, 1/2 leather, so well worth it. Handling excellent, (nearly scooby class!), drive typically BMW! All in all brilliant, only got shut of mine because of space for grand -kids needed.

Are they that good? Interested in buying one for the Missus.

I'm interested in the RX8. Again has anyone driven one yet?

Cheers

Can tell you next week, pick our MCS up on Monday, test drive was great but it takes owning a vehicle to really tell, hope it is as good as we think otherwise we wasted our money. Hubby still wants an STi8 though, so if MCS is not up to scratch it will be for sale soon!!!

I have a Cooper so have read a lot about all things Mini related. General opinion seems to be that you won't find a more complete hot hatch at the moment. I am hoping to upgrade to an S next yr purely because in all the reviews I have read there seems to be little wrong with them at all. Plus, they look so much more characterful than the alternatives and hold their value extremely well!

Got the wife an S last month and I have been driving it ever since. Great fun, handles well but the ASC is a bit intrusive. Getting the back end out is easy but progressive. She loves the car compared to her MR2 Roadster adn her mates are really jealous.

It's not a patch on my STi7, but then they are two totally different cars. I've noticed more Golf Gti' and Audi TT's wanting to race, but the Mini holds it's own.

Have a second test drive in the S on Saturday and the works!!! Should be good!!!
They have one on the forecourt (Paragon BMW/Mini in Hull) for £25,000!!

WHOA!!!! I would not pay that much for a mini!
