BK,

It means it's a Brabus CL6.1. It'll have a 6.1 ltr V8 and rather a lot of power. Have a look at http://www.brabus.de for more info.

I'd like an EV12 if I had the moolah!

Cheers
Matt

How about "Daddy"
That thing will shift. Part of the problem with such large alloys is that barbus cannot find high enough speed rated tyres for them!

I saw a CLK Brabus down here in France- after I'd zipped past it on a dual carriageway (wondered why it was so slow)the chap driving pulled into the tabac I was having a coffee at. Turns out on talking to him that his was a bog standard CLK with Brabus wheels and styling! A sheep in wolf's clothing. They aren't all fast, but if you meet a "proper" one you'll know about it. They are fast as f*ck.

cosworth 427,

please take the twisty comments as a joke, common within this bbs. i did chuckle when i read them, hey! this is scoobynet anyway and u'll get loads of jokers (in a good way).

i tend to read the facts and just take the rest as a good laugh, isnt that better?

dont really want my brabus post to turn into another slagging match.

anyway, read up on the links, oh me gosh... quick but deffo better choice of supercars considering the cost of conversion. but... where's the lottery ticket? still want one tho.

cheers.

Just get the Brabus badge and replace the SUBARU badge - it'll be the first Brabus that becomes a legend in the twisties!!

Seriously though, I have seen a maroon Brabus on the M1 - blacked out windows etc - looked like a right ganster car!

Usually the joke itself is based on ignorance or by serious lack of knowledge. (This explains akshay belief that anything with high HP with RWD won't handle as a £20k 4WD saloon). So therefore he will make a joke based on that belief and think it is ok as long as he labels it a "joke".

It's not any old saloon - we are talking about a rally-bred legend. Imprezas can be tuned to take on pretty much anything on the road - do a search on Scoobynet. You name another car for £20k that can do this, with mods starting as cheap as £19.99 for some clear indicators.

Mercedes is a motorsport legend, especially with GT and F1, they know a hell of a lot more about performance than you, and decades of experience. Your fanboy attitude over Imprezas can never change that fact.

Nissan, Toyota, Ford has been there and done that with affordable & tunable high performance cars, and quite a few years before Subaru did. The Escort Cosworth, Sierra Cosworth, Celica GT4, Supra MK3, MR-2 Turbo, Nissan 180/200 SX and so on.

You can make *any* car handle better and go faster than factory level with aftermarket parts, especially with forced induction motors. It's just a question of whether you have the skills and the money on that particular car. Making a car fast within a budget isn't exclusive to a Subaru or EVO. If anyone told you different, then they're simply lying or just as ignorant as you are.

Question

But how many of them come with a 'bright' switch as a factory standard?

I agree with Cosworth427 I do not believe that under any circumstances a Subaru or any car along those lines should be mentioned in the same sentence as a car like this. That's just my opinion but have a look at this link and make up your own mind;

come on guys, let this RIP ok?

post was abt brabus not whether twisty bits n the scoob. too many similar posts btw.

the way i see it, not up to person who post to indicate whether its a joke or not but reader to decide for themselves. just diff in intepreting the posts.

i personally dont agree that scoob kills everything in twisty bits but, for example, the post by askhay seems biased towards scoob and i took it as a joke coz we as mature adults know that that's not true. problem solved. no slagging match and everyone happy.

i myself is a scooby fanatic but my view is unless a post is offensive, just chill and enjoy all the friendly banter, silly banter, extremely biased banter, etc etc

hope i didnt offend anyone. would still like a brabus converted merc tho!
