But hey, I do have a Sport and just about managed to keep up
Surprised it was not much faster but then again they are a very heavy car not to mention the weight of the V8
Wonder if he is posting now on Audinet that he wasted a Scooby LOL - I don't have a scoop though so it would have been pretty obvious
how much power these things got then?

LMAO...
hell my A3 tdi quattro running 185bhp 285ftlb would waste a sport in gear acceleration....never mind 4.2 quattro A8. LOL
ive checked audi net and no A8 drivers are reporting wasting a scoob....but did you think there would be....

LOL - that's why I posted the thread up
I had no chance and new it all along. I could have happily sat behind him at a ton and made no attempt to even try and get by
Best part was when we came off one roundabout onto an uphill dual carraigeway he really showed me what he had got they are one nice autobahn cruiser

Evo A8 stats.
310BHP, 302Lbt, 1720kg. 0-60 in 6.9
Once rolling I guess it'll be pretty fast too.
S8 would be nice though! 0-60 in just over 5 secs!

I used to see an N plate 4.2 most mornings on my way to where I used to work. I can tell you form experience that they aren't just damned quick in a straight line, we used to have some fair old ding-dongs on the Macclesfield-Whaley Bridge road I bet in the right hands one would give any UK spec scoob a run for it's money

Prices are fanrtastic. Chopped my P1 in for an S8
Fits me, wife baby, buggy, and a weeks worth of stuff in, and still goes nearly as fast as the P1.
Handlings obviously not as goos as a scoob, but its not too far off !
On the motorway you cant beat them. Double glazed, cruise, armchairs.
Just need a pipe, slippers and a blanket for the back shelf as my wife keeps telling me
