My dealer told me to keep to < 3k for 1k miles on my Zetec-S. Other people I've spoke to have been told it's not needed.
Non to clever either way though!

A mate of mine sells them. Said one of his first customers brought it back later in the day with smashed bodywork! Wonder if it was anything to do with the cars inability to handle bumpy twisty bits ?
