I was looking at a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT the other day. Seemed bloody quick but I have heard that they can be a little boring. What do you reckon about these cars?

U'll need at least a BMW 3er Cabrio to pull in LKF, if u talk abt Central or Causeway Bay then a Porker or Ferrari.
Subaru/Evo/GT-R can pull in Mongkok, but I guess the only place a 3kGT can pull is in Yuen Long or Kam Tin or Shek Kong.

Jesus, you guys know Hong Kong well. Although even in Yuen Long the 3000GT is dated and cheap - that place is full of newish STi's, skylines and Evos - every 5th car would be one! When you're there you can tell you're in triad territory!
As for pulling, I'm already driving a t-bar MR2 which is quite effective - people dont expect to see a gweilo in such a car, but I want something with a bit less of the looks and a lot more grunt.
The car I'm looking at is going for 7000 squids!

No, not if I'm going for a Philippino.
Anyhow, I own a car to drive, not to pull. There are, surprisingly, a few good roads out here, and quite a few people to duel with.

gwailo = ghost man. In other words white-man or westerner. Philippino's in particular will take any gwailo for his passport and the prospect of a good life. If you're ugly and old but have a british passport and average income get over here and get yourself a philippino babe. I dont rate them myself, got a huge stigma and I prefer to be able to communicate properly with my babe rather than just get the washing up done by her.

I don't understand y some Gweilos like Filipinos so much, most ppl in HK think they're noisy & not pretty, & they colonise Statue Sq on Sundays.
If u, as a Gweilo, really want to stand out from the crowd, get urself a Toyota Sprinter Trueno (AE86). Must be a 1983 model in white with black Minilite alloys, & u must have a decal on the driver's door which proclaims 'Fujiwara Tofu Shop (Private Use)'. A car like that would surely turn heads everywhere in HK (maybe apart from Central).
As for the 3kGT, u can just get away with it in NT, but not in other places. Seriously, if u want more go but less show, then I think a Legacy GT-B will be fine. Quite a few Gweilos who live in HK South drive them.
