Default Impreza STI vs 3000GT

Hi just to put it to u all. Would a impreza beat a 3000GT.

Apparently my classic STI V4 does 0-60 in 4.6 (correct me please if I'm wrong) and a 3000GT TT is about 5.5 I think.

What do you guys think

beat in what test?

my standard 98 uk turbo leaves my pals 3ltr gto tt easily off the line on a 1/4. at higher speed it catches up, but hes spent 8k last year on it at sumiyaki.

like has been said above very heavy in comparison to the impreza. he now wants a subaru as well.

impreza will nail it
0-60
1/4 mile
handling

but top end (above 90mph) the 3000gt will win (standard impreza)

Speaking from experience the sti4 would not have a problem, over 100-120 and the 3000 would start coming back but thats if its not already too far behind

Yep I suppose so. I'm guessing but was the performance designed for a very quick 0-60 rather than top speed. Do to rally heritage.

im quite interested in this aswell lol.
my classic is 260hp at wheels maxed out on fueling at low boost 0.7 bar. I need furel pump and injectors before it can be mapped again. It's underfueling that bad i cant go over about 4500-5000 revs at all. After this is done the mapper said i'll get a nice power increase.

My girlfriends uncle just brought one an thiks it will beat my scoob. his is standard.
