Thinking of selling the Scoob!
I think my share of having fun and spending lots on my car is coming to an end...
I will be selling my pride and joy and spending my cash on other things.
Its a hard decision, but Ive had some fantastic experiences with the SMACS especially.
I`ll be advertising it in the next week or so.

Thought you have been quiet.
Going for something a bit more sensible?
Someones going to get a well cared for wagon when you sell it.
I've been looking at selling mine, and buying a lotus esprit, but I think the girlfriend will go ape!!

Yes I`m going all sensible and turbo diesel type thingy.
I hope I can sell my Scoob to an enthusiast who will care for it like I have.

No don't do it *****.
I went for a test drive in a Civic Type-R a couple of weeks ago because I was fed up with how much the scoob was costing to run, and the thought of horrendous running costs with things going wrong left right and centre.
Test drive was an eye opener in how damn good the scoob is, and I couldn't bring myself to trade it in.
If you're going to sell, make sure you drive the replacement before its gone, because you may find its something you'll regret.
I also borrowed my Dads PD150 golf (chipped) for a week when mine was in the garage, and although its a great car, and very quick, it just had no soul. It at least got the 'quick diesel bug' out of my system without it costing my anything.
Think long and hard about selling, its a great wagon you've got, its will be difficult to replace with anything half as exciting.

I can only echo what Dave has said, I've regretted getting rid of my scooby and it is something which in hindsight I perhaps wouldnt have done. Make sure you are 100% happy with whatever you decide on for a replacement and if youre not sure then dont do it.

We need to talk young Silly Billy *****.
But if you go through with it, you can have a drive of mine any time - just to get the scooby hit every now and again.

Thanks for the thoughts chaps and Super thats a very kind offer.
I`m defo selling as other things in my life are a higher priority, ie house and a future wife.
Ive had since Nov 2003 till now with my wagon and spent a fair bit keeping it mint.
Its been a fantastic car and even better community... but I need to move on.
I would still like to come along to the odd meet if that was ok?
And dont forget I will still be able to add any electrical items(sat nav etc)/ valet accordingly too!

LOL @ barnesy, he'll get you for that comment, fair point though
Couldn't believe it when I saw that thread title *****, wtf is going on! After all the care and time and money you've spent on your car (the boot install sub took you 2 years! ) and now your buying a diesel! no need!
Along with gav, you'll be more than welcome to come to meets, and days/weekends away with the smacs, it'll halve someones fuel cost for the day at least!
I just hope your making the right decision, but I'm sure you've thought it through.
Be sad to see your gorgeous wagon go, and I hope you can sell it for the right money, god knows its bloody hard these days to sell these cars, as me, pete and gav will testify
See you soon bud,
chris.
ps, does the missus know your getting a new wife?

Yes its defo being sold, although for how much I dont know.
I would like it to go to a true enthusiast, I`d hope over 5k but its getting someone to come and look 1st.
I may even try ebay...
I have to get a completely different style of motor as nothing would really compare would it?
A warm car would just be half measures really.

Get away from performance as you are always likely to be disappointed (Ariel Atom/Porsche 911 GT3 excluded) so go for another experience all together.
Maybe a volvo or saab convertable for open top cruising. Or a 4 X 4, always fancied Mitsi L200?
