what to study or career path
so I need some advise really.
been at the current job for over 3years and getting bored, (Call centre)
wanting a new challenge, but very restricted due to any experience and qualifications.
Applied for a lot of things but had no luck
Been thinking maybe take up some distance learning and go for something else.
Shortlisted, to studying AAT, for accounts, maybe Cemap for mortgage provider, Project management (offer in Groupon )
Issue is, I came out of school with 4 GCSEs and went straight to work, imagine takeaway, retailer etc.
Has anyone got any good suggestions if you was in my shoes?

Tough one that. If you see yourself doing accountancy as a career path then you may as well pursue that. Good money in it too.
I sometimes wonder if I'd have been better off becoming an accountant as I'm good with maths / money and suspect it would have less stress than the engineering profession I'm currently in. Downside is I could see myself getting rapidly bored in a job like that as you'll be pretty much doing the same thing week in week out. Being at the cutting edge of satellite communications does give lots of interesting a varied challenges.
I wouldn't bother doing the project management qualification if going down the accountancy route for now at least but if it's a properly recognised qualification (i.e. Prince2) then it does transfer across many businesses.

Lol, I have found this post
https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...90166-ifa.html
Can someone give me an honest answer in ranks of difficulty to learn and to get a job, also any idea on average pay rates (in Yorkshire) please.
for my shortlisted interested roles
Project Management (good pay but there seems a lot around)
Accounting but going for AAT and not Cima (Sis has that and mentioned it is very hard)
Mortgage adviser (Cemap)
IFA (no idea what studies/degrees needed)
HR consultant
Legal secretary

Engineering wise, Aberdeen is paved with Gold if you want to go down this path, main oil hub in Europe but difficult to get into I suppose if you're not a local.

How old are you? What are your academic abilities (ie could you have got 4 A levels at A grade if you applied yourself instead of just 4 GCSEs)? Can you afford to not be making an income whilst you study and for how many years?

I'm 36, I left school to work, I am currently the bread winner of the house so can't just stop and just study.

Whatever you do decide to do just try to be the best at it and you'll soon build up a good reputation.

Why not. My brother started off as a humble mechanic on a YTS and is now a test engineer on the Mclaren P1.

Does anyone knows if these are difficult to study and pass?
Accounting but going for AAT
Mortgage adviser (Cemap)
IFA (CFP)
and what distance learning sites are recommended, I've seen Cii and ifslearning but they are so expensive
are the qualifications for these still the same from different companies?
