I reckon I would much prefer motor cycle scrambling myself.

Nicely done - great riding, cool tunes!

Where are Tavi Woods?

Had some Fox Float 32 120mm RLCs delivered today; will "complete" my rather blingy Cotic Soul build - I'm a much more XC rider after taking a really bad stack years ago DHing (TBH I as never that great anyway!). Good at climbing/flat hooning but definitely cautious descending! I'm sure a decent DH rig would help though...

Many many times! And yourself? Poldice Valley nearish here is great too and also an old tin/arsenic mine. I have mates near Tavi - I may have to fling to bike in and wobble incompetently down that track.

Just bought one of these:

http://www.genesisbikes.co.uk/bikes/...-latitude-1x10

I know it's a bit old school, but I am a bit too old nowadays for all that teenage, MBUK, "I want the latest 4 grand downhill monster malarkey".

I like your style! Mine is vaguely similar; steel, black, functional.

New Fox forks go on next week.

Indeed it is! I often do a fitness route to Port Isaac and back. Only 11 miles but two beastly hills to climb!

I've just rebuilt my old faithful Diamondback;

But we both are too old to go hurtling down forest tracks together any more

I have something newer and easier on the limbs for that sort of thing these days

The downhill track at Cymbran, south Wales, is worth a visit too. Took my elderly full sus Proflex bike there (with new elastomers), and survived the experience!

Excellent video, more road than down hills for me now, last time I did anything interesting was Llandegla's black run last year.

That's very nice Mattee, was looking at one of these myself but the boss (wife) wouldn't sign the purchase order

Is that a RockShox Revelation?

It's an SID Race 100mm. It's very light but TBH it's a bit flexy. So I'm just waiting to fit my new Fox Float 32 120mm FIT RLC (could the name be any longer?!!) tapered steerer and 15mm Maxle so should be much stiffer!

Selling the SIDs in case anyone wants a racy fork?'

The bike is truly great and does almost everything well; very chuckable but still light. It's all a bit geek spec; mostly X0 (brakes, rear mech, shifters), XTR, Hope hoops, Thomson bits, CK BB, etc, Easton EC90SL bars, blah blah. I really love it!

Hey Mattee, one of these days you'll be a real man like me or a glutton for punishment with a 1x10.

That looks the business though, what's the rear derailleur?

My road bike is bad enough...!

I'll be a complete bore as usual and summarise (mech is X0)

Fox 32 Float RLC FIT, 120mm, tapered, 15mm axle
X0 shifters, rear mech, brakes
XTR front mech
Spesh Phenom Pro perch
Thomson stem and seat post
Hope Pro 2 hubs on Mavic 717s
SRAM 990 cassette and 991 chain
XT crank arms, Chris King BB, TA Chinook chainrings
Hope headset
Salsa seat binder
Easton EC90 SL carbon riser bars

Asleep yet?!

Oh and I need to do a bit of cable tidying!

Sadly triple forks don't fit blue bikes.
