Big Brother ends up watching everyone. Sadly, the simpletons mistake words for the meaning behind them. Racists (& any other "ists") are racists because of what they believe, not because of the words they use.

As any sociologist will tell you, restricting language is an effective tool of population control. It makes it easy to hide things in speeches and difficult for people to express their dissatisfaction with the ruling classes. It's why you often find that the poor & disadvantaged in this world have a limited vocabulary.

So we have come to the conclusion that by the end of the year the first Super Computer will have been switched on. But it will be a PC that is so PC it will not actually be able to communicate?

Will it perhaps just punish us for any wrong doings, and we must learn the error of our ways. And spend our time pondering its reasoning?

Going to take this back to a 'serious' state :shrugs shoulders:

I work with several Black people and they are fed up with so called Do Gooders trying to protect them from racist comments and alledged words.

The words mentioned in the papers are so tenuous it's almost ubelieveable. To think people must sit down and try to find words that could be considered undesirable. I mean, how many people here have thought that 'Egg and spoon' could be considered un PC. Never thought that myself.
FFsake 'Nitty Gritty' ballast used in old ships, some, not all of which happened to be Slave ships. It is truley getting beyond control. How long b4 we have a PC, Police Force.

There's a Uni not allowed to have British flags out for the Jubilee or for the World Cup. Just incase some of the non nationals take offense. It's England, be proud, fly the flag. Other countries couldn't give a damn about possibly upsetting a Brit abroard. The French go out of their way to do it.

Whilst I generally go out of my way to not offend people unintentionally by what I say, it is getting ridiculous out there

Noticed in one of the tabloids at Tescos this morning (dare I say that 'cos of "another" thread running in this forum? ) that the Commission For Racial Equality is taking on more & more cases of situations where White people are harassed or descriminated against

I'm sure the majority of people on here & elsewhere do not intentionally intend to offend or descriminate against others.
