Default Balance transfers to get interest free credit...

I have two credit cards, both with small amounts outstanding.
Both have, this month, offered me nine months, and six months interest free credit on balance transfers.

Is there anything to stop me from transferring the outstanding balance from one to the other and vice-versa, gaining interest-free on both accounts?

TIA.

yep fees typically 3% so worthwhile if you wasn't going to pay it off anytime soon

Read smallprint though, say for example you transfer oevr £1k ar the 0% rate, then spend £500 the following month. So £1.5 k outstanding. If you pay off £500 which £500 are they knocking off the bill - the transfer or the purchases at xx apr?

Not using either, at present, just after getting both as low as poss, so interest free allows me to pay off far more......

Yes, 3% is the fee. A one-off.

Don't have a platinum card.

I've done this, quite a clat to do, but both card companies say it'll work and are quite happy with the arrangement.

Too much hassle for my liking.

Go with a completely new card company and transfer both balances to that.
Barclay Card gave me 20 months interest free.

Shop around.

Nah, it's done now. It'll help me get the balances down.

I have done it often, let's me pay for expensive items over a longer period and interest free. 3% fee is pretty standard.
