...as there was a car joining the road, it wouldn't have been a derestricted zone.

I suspect as it was a junction it would have been a 100kmh zone, so yes he was probably speeding, same as the M3 and M6 his sons were in. But who knows what will happen.

Lots of autobahns have speed restrictions, and like Wurzel said this was an area around a junction so wouldn't be unrestricted.

Work colleague one time employer rolled his roller on the motorway with dog inside I think the dog survived also but there was **** everywhere.

That impressed me too. The pillars are reinforced with boron steel. Great if you're in the car but a real pain in the **** for the Fire brigade/motorsport Rescue fraternity.
