Scratch on car door
I want to sort out a 6 inch long tiny scratch on a car door. Advice please. It is a Ford Ka, red in colour but called "Bronze". I think it's metallic paint. I have bought some T-Cut that is supposed to work with metallic paint and was going to wash door and bang on the T-Cut first.
But then what do I do? I think scratch is down to metal but it really is very narrow so do I need metal primer? Do I paint it or spray it once local car shop has found the right colour paint? Any tips?
Answers like "take it to your garage" will not be welcomed dl

What's this "Proformula Scratch Remover" they're flogging on page 10 of today's Sun motors section? "Draws up the paint colour and blends it over nicks, scratches and chips"...? So T-Cut then?

One way is to put a tiny bit of touch up or spray paint on a lint free cloth & rub it into the scratch. Leave to dry, then T cut the excess off. Repeat a couple of times & it works well. Don't apply too much & be careful ! (Or don't bother if you're worried !)
