War on Terror 2
Watching the various news programmes this morning and I can't help but feel we are heading towards a new war on terror, this time in Africa.
Cameron and Hague's comments were so reminiscent of the Bush administration's a decade ago and all the terrorism experts are saying that Al Qaeda are gatheirng strength in Africa.
Then there is Mali where the thoght that we should be helping the French on the ground is being mooted more and more after the Algerian siege.
Thing is can we really afford another campaign with no clear objective and wasn't the 10 year pursuit of Bin Laden and his cohorts supposed to all but end Al Qaeda's operations.... that's what we were told anyway!
Seems to me we haven't a clue how to stop any of this so why make ourselves even more of a target pursuing a campaign with no clear achievable objective!

Oil/Gas involved?
'British' Business involved?
N.B.
'British' = BP has a massive presence in the USA since merging with Amoco.
Obama will be hinting to Cameron that their investment/resources need protecting.
It doesn't take genius to work out that we will get involved.

Fcucking Hague is this country's toothless poodle. Everytime there's some conflict somewhere or other in the world he's always there soundbite-ing at the drop of a hat monotonously droning on, giving it large about how we'll sort "the fuzzy wuzzies" out if they misbehave. He's stuck a few hundred years in the past.

I've heard a few people mention 'the war on extreme Islam' and 'the war on Islam' from the news channels. Was very surprised, I thought the Multicultural PC brigade would of been all over that, but nothing got mentioned.
Is it becoming acceptable to think of Islam as the religion of the terrorist?

It's got nothing to do with Islam it's all propaganda and oil/gas resource related if your to thick to see that then try pulling your head out your ***.
Just ask your self the question.........what do you really know about Afghanistan,Iraq and Algeria other than what you hear on the news. If you are basing all opinion on what you hear on the news then.....PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ***!

It does make you wonder if the west is correct in keep poking our noses in military affairs all over the world. If we didn't, would the world be a better place? ... no. Would terror attacks stop hitting at The US and Europe? ... yes.
My wife and I were in Mexico 2 yrs ago and ended up sharing a table with two American couples in there mid 50's. One of the women said to me "can I ask you a question" and I said "yes". She then asked me what Europe think of Americans. I basically said that many look at you guys at people who assume you are the worlds Police.
She looked at her friends nodding in agreement and said "this is what we hear all the time. This is also the first time we have ever left American because we are scared to go anywhere, and it's why 72% of Americans don't own a passport".
Maybe that's the answer?

I think the reason most Americans don't own a passport is because America is the best country in the world, all other countries are inferior, so why would you want to go there.
