Default Tyre punctures

Removed a screw from rear tyre ( same one I got repaired last month , amazingly)

Iv always wondered how they get embedded ,i mean you couldnt probably place the screw/nail in the road personally to ensure it penetrates, could you ??!

Actually I can imagine tacks or clout nails stood up might go in

But 1.5" screw with small head ...?? ....

Heard flapping noise from rear about 300 yards on leaving house , head had come off, I had leather man ripoff , so fortunately I could remove it

Should have left it in. It wouldn't deflate as fast.......

Can't imagine why/who, I think it must have fallen through cardboard box bin of work/house waste when I went to dump perhaps - just can't quite envisaged how it bedded itself in the tyre

ive reversed around a corner close to the curb once and had a splinter of glass puncture a tyre. Screws can fall off any wagon.

I can imagine a million reasons why someone would want to puncture YOUR tyre

Anyway, it's been angled up against your tyre by someone ... do you have a loud exhaust which annoys the neighbours?

I have had punctures from nails or screws and like you I wonder how they can ever get to the angle to penetrate the tyre.
