New Stones Song, "Doom and Gloom"
Heard this a couple of times, didnt realise until this morning its a new track, not usually a massive Stones fan, kind of had them pegged as a slightly cooler and more historically significant Staus Quo, sort of appreciating them more as a get older and this new one is a brilliant track and is classic Stones, hard to beleive they are all pensioners.
It took me until 30 to like Queen, all the gimps at school were into them and us cool Kids were into New Order.
So, taken until 42 to admit I like the Stones, by 103 I may buy that Status Quo album...

Oldun, I have to ask, I've noticed you've been proloific with your posts recently, nothing wrong with that as they have been decent threads .
Did you "come back" to SN after a long absence or are you a long time user that had two accounts and you're now using this one

Whole song on Spotify
I can't think of another band where the sound has changed so little over time. The fact that they are all surviving after the way they treated their bodies over the years is, in itself, pretty remarkable
I love the sound, classic Stones

It's a good tune I think and I'm no stones fan. Normally these old bands knocking new stuff out makes for drivel. Can't say I'd ever buy it but have to have respect for it.
On the flip side of the coin.. How the hell is Robbie Williams' single number one! It's like a bad dream! Ringa Ringa Roses.. FFS, tragically bad.

I was prolific in Muppets many years ago till it went t!ts up.
Back now and enjoying my stay here, I'd forgotten just how good a forum this is.

The Rolling Stones is the debut album by The Rolling Stones, released by Decca Records in the UK on 16 April 1964. The American edition of the LP, with a slightly different track list, came out on London Records on 30 May 1964

I thought their early stuff was great, but they lost their mojo sometime around 1974 after It's Only Rock and Roll, as an 80's child maybe my perspective is slighty different

That was more a typo than a dumb spelling/grammar mistake. Maybe he'll let it slide .......
