You're right I could have been a little more informative in the thread title. I wasn't aware of this lady until yesterday. There was a piece on her in the news, about what she did and the immense courage she displayed. Making the ultimate sacrifice for what she believed in.

Total respect for those who served in ww2 regardless of race, religion or colour. These Indian soldiers were treated as heroes here in Cornwall whilst they were stationed here.

I have been to Dachau and there is a plaque commemorating her and the other SOE girls on the wall in the cremation chamber.
Of course we owe her an enormous debt as indeed to all those incredibly brave people who were part of SOE during WW2. They were risking their lives every day to help to overcome the **** threat and were likely to be terribly tortured and murdered by those evil party members if they were caught.
It is important that it is never forgotten just how awfully people can be treated by people who are on a par with the *****. They were vicious people with no regard for human suffering and lives.

While I was walking around Sachsenhausen concentration camp near Berlin, when I arrived at the shed where they did those awful medical experiments I became so angry that I just walked out of the place.
There is a woodland path on the way out and there was an elderly East German man sitting on a bench. I sat down and we had a chat. He told me that he was born near there and that after WW2 the Communists took the place over and it was used in exactly the same way for political prisoners etc. up to 1963 as the ***** did during WW2!
It was a special camp during WW2 for commandos which were hated by Hitler and when a prisoner arrived he was told that he would not leave the place alive!
Nice people!!!
