My 30th is coming up next month and the mrs wants to buy me something nice, but I have told her not to spend too much, as she has already booked a night away in a posh hotel.
So, even though I struggle to justify any spend on a watch that is over £20, I quite like the look of these watches:
or
Would like a Citizen Eco Drive, but don't want her spending silly money.
Any thoughts/opinions appreciated.

It's your 30th!! So go for something special, go for a Citizens Eco Drive if you'd like one.

I just love the idea of someone thinking any Citizen watch is "silly money". Have you seen the prices of, say, Tags? I mean real ones, not the one you bought of some bloke in a pub who was getting rid of the last of his stock. I understand the point on not wanting to spend much on a watch, but just the same.

If we were rolling in it, then no, £200 on a watch would be nothing.
We are just watching to pennies.
The mrs even offered to to get me a tag on 0% finance from Goldsmiths. £25 a month for 4 years for a watch? Erm, no thanks! I would rather put the cash towards a well deserved holiday.
Back on topic, I think she has gone for the silver one as it was on offer at Argos.

It's all relative!
