Accurist Chronograph

My 30th is coming up next month and the mrs wants to buy me something nice, but I have told her not to spend too much, as she has already booked a night away in a posh hotel.

So, even though I struggle to justify any spend on a watch that is over £20, I quite like the look of these watches:

or

Would like a Citizen Eco Drive, but don't want her spending silly money.

Any thoughts/opinions appreciated.

I like the look of the first one

tubbytommy 17 September 2012 01:02 PM

the first one looks best.

Jamescsti 17 September 2012 02:04 PM

I prefer the second, not keen on the strap on the first one.

There is my dilema.
Just can't decide.

Second one.

It's your 30th!! So go for something special, go for a Citizens Eco Drive if you'd like one.

Put a poll up, get the one that wins after a few days :)

Another vote for eco drive, plenty of deals out there, got mine half price in Argos.

I just love the idea of someone thinking any Citizen watch is "silly money". Have you seen the prices of, say, Tags? I mean real ones, not the one you bought of some bloke in a pub who was getting rid of the last of his stock. I understand the point on not wanting to spend much on a watch, but just the same.

Gear Head 18 September 2012 07:50 AM

If we were rolling in it, then no, £200 on a watch would be nothing.
We are just watching to pennies.
The mrs even offered to to get me a tag on 0% finance from Goldsmiths. £25 a month for 4 years for a watch? Erm, no thanks! I would rather put the cash towards a well deserved holiday.

Back on topic, I think she has gone for the silver one as it was on offer at Argos. :D

You can`t sell a present :lol1:

Although I voted for the second one. If I were to pick something not in your shortlist I would go for an eco-drive. I'm wearing mine now and got it for half price at Argos

Thats well tight Jura :D

Have the eco drive, even if you pay £200 without a deal, i'll bet you'll wear it everyday so you will get your moneys worth!

Was wondering who'd be the first to post something like this!

It's all relative! :nono:
