World is upside down......or at least your rights are
Judge: So you got sexually assaulted, they admitted it, they made a deal with the prosecution without you knowing it....... Well in that case, you cannot say a word about your ordeal and who did it to anyone!
Seriously, I despair of the world.....

There will be more to it than has been reported, but from reading that, its is morally wrong that the criminals are protected and the abused mat go to jail.

Well .... there names are protected as they are under 18 I would guess? And she broke all kind of laws by naming them.
As the criminals case has yet to be sentenced, no-one is sure whether they will go to jail or not.
(doesn't make it right, but that is the law ...)

Didn`t they break the law when they violated her and probably screwed her life up though? Whether they go to prison or not, whether they are under age or not, they deserve to be named and shamed, **** them.

I wonder what sort of deal they could do that would reduce their sentence?
She was told not to name the boys, she did so and she is being charged for it. Its horrible what happened and I don't blame her but she broke the law. What if her father went round the boys houses and maimed both of them - cut a few fingers off or something. You could understand why but he still broke the law.
We had some woman knocking on our door all a bit freaky shouting about a pedo in the street - she was ranting a fair bit. Turned out some guy had abused her as a child was actually living in our street. She was warning those homes with children to be careful, she was arrested.

I would imagine that the boys families were connected and the judge made a deal based on that, a friend of mine was taken to court and had a multi million award made against him for absolutely nothing other than he had an argument with the wrong person in South Carolina, the judge here laughed when he saw how ridiculous it was as usually British courts uphold American Judgements.

How We Won
Jul 23, 2012
Kentucky teenager Savannah Dietrich was sexually assaulted by two young men from her school. The boys plead guilty but took a plea deal and Savannah was ordered by a judge not to speak about the case. Frustrated, Savannah turned to Twitter because she felt the boys received a lenient plea deal and exposed her attackers. For doing so, she was facing the possibility of a $500 fine and up to 180 days in jail - a punishment likely more severe than what her attackers received. When Elizabeth Beier heard about Savannah's story, she started a petition on Change.org and in just two days, more than 100,000 people signed. Shortly after, the two lawyers representing Savannah’s attackers withdrew their motion to hold Savannah in contempt.
