Yes but ask yourself / is James really dead or was it a mock killing ? After all he just killed the treasurer for nucki , & what was Eli doing there when he knows he tried to have him killed , also James came unarmed (why) & what of luciano & lansky , if true to life they have a few assassinations of there own ahead of them ?

No no , not at all , in fact I know nothing of James dty's life , just adding the clues, but of lansky I know a fair bit - all I'll say is he died Americas second richest ( & that's reality )

James has a hole in his head - he's not coming back.
James knew he was going to that meeting to die - that was kind of obvious. He'd had enough - lost is wife, killed his father, screwed up by his mother. Made sure his son would be safe and went to the meeting. Plus James had upset too many people but wasn't supported enough to be worth choosing over Manny (Rothstein confimed he wasn't fussed either way)
Eli lied but I think Nucky knew he was lying. Nucky could never forgive James but Eli is his brother and blood is thicker. Nucky gave Eli a year in jail rather than a bullet in the head which buys Eli's loyalty forever. James, with his mother at his ear, could never truly be trusted again.

Well said , that puts the James story 2 bed / exept / he was attending the meeting on the word of nucky finding manny , the killer of his wife , wich he did love dearly ,surely he would seek revenge ? But yet he turned up unarmed , I know nucky shot him with a 38 snub nose (twice point blank ) the back of his head would have looked like a scooped out water melon / but still there is something very strange abt the whole situation

The plot thickens !!!
Manny brings nothing to nucky's table , for it was James who originally approached him over his Philadelphia connections & whisky rights ,, however after the double cross , waxy now has the whisky , & is trying to kill manny , waxy is in partnership with nucky & like said before asked rothstein if manny dissapered would it be a problem / so my Q is - why didn't nucky execute manny at the war memorial when he did James ? At least for the murder of his wife ? With all this double crossing goin on who's 2 say the butcher won't hatchet nucky - better 2 have got rid ov him there & then in my opinion

& not forgetting we have the big mob war ahead to look forward to wich starts the term "mafia " & divides them into there respected family's , Capone sitting at the head of 1 , luciano , feranzano, & maceria , all are the kings when the Chicago typewriter played its tune . Then Elliot ness comes to town ,, man ,, this series could run for 10 years to get up to this point
