Welder watches.... Any good?
Was in a jewellers seen these watches asked about them he then told me it had a mineral glass which can be scratched easily.
Well that's not very good for hundreds of pounds of watch is it?

Also interested in TW STEEL are they any good?

Thats toooo much for that watch mate. If your rich then go for it but there are other makes that you could get for that kind of money.

Her's mine: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Casio-Clas...item43aaa33b9b
Accurate to 2 seconds a month, does alarm, chronograph, timer, hour reminder, has a light, shows me the date with auto correct and the battery lasts 10 years.
Oh........and it's 50m waterproof. And it's all nylon, so no problems getting any part wet.
Not bad for under £9 delivered.

Don't know about those but the TW Steel are very nice. A few of my mates have them and i really like them. Solidly built. I'd get one if i could find a nice one sub £400 that one of my mates hasn't already got!

Theyre over-priced rubbish. You could buy a nice 6694 Rolex Oysterdate Precision for less than the tat in the OPs links.
You could also buy a nice used Omega Seamaster automatic for similar money.

I looked on ebay i didnt see any rolex or omega under £500 unless i shouldnt of been looking on ebay.
Whats the deal with left handed watches is there any purpose to it or is it just to be different?
Can you recommend me a decent watch under £500 any brand.... had a look at traser but it didnt excite me quite normal looking but i like the idea of the gas tubes similar to Ball.
U-Boat too expensive cheapest is £1500 so is Bell & Ross so that rules them out.

The first tat watch in the link I was looking at was around £800. Id expect to pay US$1,100 -$1,250 for a decent 6694 Oysterdate Precision (which as about £700+) and you can definitely buy a used automatic Seamaster for £800.
If youre looking at the <£400 watches then Id be thinking about a Tissot Visiodate, or more likely, a couple of Seiko dives and you still have change, along with far, far better watches.
Silly oversized watches like these must be massively profitable for the retailers, as theyre selling £80 watches for 10x their real worth...

Look very much the same as the more expensive Luminox watches
http://www.luminouswatches.co.uk/?gc...FYuIfAodJT2aTQ
which looks the same as this lol
http://www.specialopswatches.co.uk/?...FcsmtAodNTZYRg
how do the above watches compare?
If i am spending money on a watch is it better to go for a mechanical sweeping hand.
Whats a good watch forum so i can read up on different brands?
