Star Wars - The Phantom Menace 3D
Have just read on imdb that this is going to be released on feb 10th 2012. I know the film was pants but got to be worth a watch in 3D when it comes out.

FFS how many more times can they release those films to get more money out of us. George Lucas must have a mansion made out of gold by now.
I'm 99.9% sure none of the prequel films were shot in a native 3D format so it'll just be more computer trickery to turn a 2D film into 3D. I'm sure they'll do a reasonable job of it but is there any real need
As for the original trilogy (yes they are giving all of them the 3D treatment, one release per year) leave them alone.

i have to admit to being a little confused about this. I know there is seriously powerful software to isolate objects on screen and track them as they move, but surely the 3D is going to appear like a bunch of 2D 'cardboard' objects in 3D space on the screen?
