Just had to go there to do a job and I've never been before, what a **** hole.
Do people still actually choose this place as a holiday destination?

Mum and dad have a caravan in Lancaster, not too far away - me and the bird stayed their for a week and decided to go to Morecombe for a drive out What a joke! Parked up to get a bag of chips - cant remember what the place weas called, but the strapline under the name was 'the best chip shop in the world' - **** me, I had 2 chips and threw the rest away! The whole place looked like it had been bombed, and they were just recovering from it - ******* dump!

Just read a book (series of blogs) by a guy who did LEJOG and he made a point of politely pointing out what a dump Morecambe was.

I used to go there every summer back in the late 80's and loved the place. It was a great day out which ended with the Morecambe illuminations. Wasn't on the scale of Blackpool but nether the less was a fine end to the day.
For nostalgic reasons i went back there a few years back and was absolutley stunned at what had become of the place. **** hole does cover it well. It does look like the place that tourism forgot and as such, the place has been left to rot.

Used to love Frontierland in the 80's with mum and dad. It's sad how it has ended up although in hindsight, the park was always empty and so it's closure an inevitability.
The Midland Hotel though is a lovely place for a naughty weekend - just get a sea view and don't leave the premises!
