your only 30 minutes from Larne or 40 from Belfast. Pretty direct route from either. Tullyglass House is a decent hotel with easy access.
Liverpool is a horrible sailing, boring as hell. Id rather be driving so would use Stranraer tbh.

Need any advice drop me a message.

Adair Arms is located in the town centre, was only in it once for a dinner years ago,it attracts an older crowd.

Others close to the town centre are below

http://www.leighinmohrhotel.com/

http://www.tullyglass.com/

http://www.galgorm.com/index.php

http://www.rosspark.com/

The Ross Park is located about 10 min drive outside Ballymena but a very good hotel.

You'll have a good selection of restaurants within walking distance from the Adair Arms.

Pubs and bars well that will be an eye opener for you.!!

To be honest if you are in a van, Id take the shortest driving route and go via Liverpool to Belfast. At least that way you can sit back, have a decent dinner and a couple of hours sleep.

Just ask which pubs you shouldnt be drinking in
I worked over there in the late 80's then went back in 2001? in a nice protestant area, first thing I did was ask in the chippy where not to drink, and im not catholic! (and they said not here or here), not quite the same for locals mind you

Why not check out the meetings section on ScoobyIreland while you are over here, then you can meet the local Scooby fans and enjoy some of our fine McDonalds restaurants! Some of the locals turn up in vans too!

Did you enjoy lovely Ballymena then?

Were you able to understand what the locals were saying?
