Help Please Find Foxy
Hi Everyone,
I know from being a user here how we all pull together when we need eachother well.... I need you guys...............I don't know how to add pictures on here so please join the facebook group
http://www.facebook.com/#!/home.php?...310738546&ap=1
On Sunday 10th October this gorgeous dog escaped from the garden in WV10 area near Cannock, UK. He is the pet of an elderly couple, and they are devastated by his disappearance.
He is a smooth coated Fox Terrier male around 4 years old ( he looks like a big Jack Russell and people who have seen him when he has been out on walks often think he is a Parsons Terrier).
He is mainly white with brown ears and the left half of his face is Brown and he has a brown patch on his back.
He was wearing a brown webbing collar but no ID tag as it had just been removed as he was going to have a bath. He IS microchipped.
The owners daughter has notified, the microchip company, all the local rescue centres and vets, advertised in the local papers and posted notices in shops and in the street in an attempt to find him.
I am asking for help, on behalf of the owners daughter as I know how devestated I would be if my dog went missing! I also know how good Facebook is for passing things on to other people. It is a small world, and it's amazing how the simple task of passing this group on to all your friends might help find this lovely dog.
He may be out of the local area and if he has been taken in the person may not realise that he has a loving home and a family who are distraught.
The family are obviously desperate to get him back and would be grateful if anyone sees him or knows some one who has a dog like this to make contact. He could be anywhere. Any information, no matter how small, may help. Please take a few moments of your time to pass this on to eveyone you know - no matter where they are.
Thank you.
Steph xx

please be aware that when 'inviting' people to join the group on Facebook, the lovely people there have changed the way this works. Rather than sending an invite and leaving it up to the people to decide if they wish to join or not, it automatically add them to the group - and automatically sets the default options so that every time someone comments or gets added, you receive an email. So everyone is getting spammed by facebook!
**IF YOU ARE RECEIVING ENDLESS SPAM EMAILS ABOUT THIS GROUP PLEASE READ**
Facebook, in their 'wisdom' have changed how Groups work. Instead of simply sending an invite to your friends to join a group, you send what you think is an invite, but it is actually something which automatically adds them to a group they know nothing about! An...d if that isnt bad enough, FB automatically set eveyones group setting to receive emails everytime someone comments!! Please read on, and I will explain how to stop these emails happening, and also how to leave the group should you wish. I apologise for all of this! This group was set up with the best of intentions to help get this lovely doggy home, and everyone is now being spammed because of it! damn you, facebook!!
TO STOP GETTING NOTIFICATIONS: Go the grey box on the top right of the Facebook group page, entitled 'edit settings' then uncheck the 'email notifications box'.
That should stop it *crosses fingers, toes etc etc*
please notify your friends if they ask!

Hiya all
Just a quick bump for this thread. We are still hoping that Foxy can be found, alive & well.
Since I set up the facebook group, it has be shown how many caring people there are out there so please if possible, can you forward the link to your friends etc to help spread the word. It doesnt matter if you are in a different part of the country - its amazing how small a world it can be.
I am pushing this, as I know how devestated I would be if Ella, my boxer, went missing. Foxy belongs to a gentleman in his 80's who is in very poor health having suffered a number of strokes, and the devestation at losing his beloved pet is having a negative effect on his condition.
I know how great the SN gang can be, so please help if you can.
