The Isle of Sheppy is considering independance and their Navy of an 8' Inflatable with 3hp outboard will back up their claim!! .............
Seriously, however, we still have hunter killers lurking in the depths - I'm sure we could sink any ship which came within 15 miles of our borders.
Of course, in the final analysis, we could still wipe out the country they invaded from - within an instant ....
So, sleep well ... I shall protect you

according to analysis we have armouries with enough bullets to last a months fighting for each army unit, in reality it would last about 3 days.

"... Firstly that when it comes to military procurement, Israel spends £9 billion a year and administers its purchases with 400 people. Britain spends £10 billion annually on procurement and has a staff of 23,700 to do it. The Secretary of State for Defence is getting rid of 25,000 jobs at the MOD. But when I pressed him last night on Channel 4 News, there was no clear sense that the vast majority of those redundancies will be in procurement. Indeed my analyst told me that the main MOD headquarters will bear the brunt. ..."
That is the real problem. The wrong cuts now and still, previously and ongoing, the wrong system in place. That's what needs changing. But it won'[t happen with the current crop of pygmy politicians inj place 9of whatever party!!).

Not that straight forward.... most are development style contracts that don't have a "deliverable A must arrive at this time and meet this capability" the trouble with industry and the MOD is that they don't work collaboratively on projects. The MOD for years were terrible at setting commercial contracts and paid heavily for it, but with Integrated Project Teams and better reporting this old ways are becoming a thing of the past. Not saying it doesn't happen, just a lot less than it used to.
