I did look at if I could do so without making a complete mess of the combined thread and the answers within the original threads would lead to some serious confusion.
The combined thread would integrate based on post time/date, so you'd have posts replying seemingly at random.

They could not be amalgamated without them not reading right ... too much effort for our hard-working Mods
We are facing some major Political movements in the world - it is right and proper that each thread on the matter is allowed to run its course. Most will disappear within a week - some will remain, let the posters decide which stays and which disappears off the front page and into obscurity.
If there is room for 'Blow Jobs in Public' - 'Breastfeeding in Public' - 'which Mobile' - 'My iPhone won't work as a phone' threads, then surely to god there is ample room for comments upon the largest cuts in spending since World War 2!?
