Does a window support the wall?
May sound like a stupid question but........
If you have a window in one of your external walls, is there any reason why you can't take it out along with any brickwork below and create an opening that stretches from the floor to where the top of window used to be. The window itself and the brickwork below it don't povide any support do they? So no extra steel/lintels etc should be needed?
Thanks
