My money and support is with the Germans for tonight's match. I was hoping (after Engerland went out) to see a Spain-Germany final.

But then again , I am getting nothing right lately

Heart says Germany, head says Germany too!
Yet to see anyone to trouble them (apart from Serbia ), but it's the World Cup, so anything could happen.
As long as it's entertaining, that's the main thing. I think a Holland Germany final would be better, because there is real rivalry between them.

I think Germany will win it. They have far more natural goal scorers in their team and Spain have relied on Villa too much with Torres not 100%. 4 goals in 3 of 5 games so far doesnt lie.

Ja, Ja, das ist gute! Id rather see my testes removed from their bag by a grizzly bear than see Robben touch the World Cup. Germans are deserving of it, just not looking forward to the Euros when they are approaching their peak!

There have been some cracking 1/4 final matches, but lasts night semi wasn't the greatest watch, I just hope the 2 teams aren't too cagey with so much at stake. As long as its a good game to watch, I have no care to who wins - although I must say Spain v Holland final would be great.

Lol...I thought it was a cracking game, proper football, and certainly one of the best games of the whole competition!!
Germans looked very dangerous on the break and super swift with it. Big strong blokes too, more like british footballers, in comparison to the spaniards who looked like dwarfs.
Spanish though played a thinking game with beautiful confident passing, good close ball skills, breaking the germans down, keeping possesion and chipping away at their defences bit by bit. The spanish were IMHO the better team, by a long chaulk.
That's definately Spain aqpproaching their best!! Just a shame Torres isn't up to much.
I just hope they play the same against the Netherlands.

As our southern african ( actually a zimbo ) host from last august put it
' i hope it will be Spain ,they play beautifully and they deserve the sweet taste of champaionship'
our next door neighbour here , the wife , was virtually in tears - having gone home to bavaria and family to witness the english annnilation , she was certain they would win

Even when they did get the ball, more often than not the Spanish had four or five men goalside - just impossible to break down.
The Spanish were phenomenal last night - shame they didn't have a little more flair in front of goal.

I think it is more that the Spanish refused to lend them the ball for long periods. It made the Germans look a bit flatfooted. The Germans were simply not allowed to play the same way they could against England and Argentina.

However it would have been very interesting at 0-0 when the Germans should have had a free kick just outside the box (many thought it was a pen) because had the ref had given it the Spanish would have been down to 10 men.
Fantastic game, 2 great teams on display - hardly any play acting too which was refreshing. Best game of the WC so far, I hope the final is even better!

I agree about the play acting bit. That is one thing that really spoils a match for me and I think that "diving" should be heavily penalised when it is obviously an attemprt at a big con. When you see a bloke forgetting which bit of him was supposed to have been hit and rubbing somewhere else he should get a yellow card at least.
Compare it to the knocks people get in a hard game of rugby and how they just carry on!
