I do! But I still don't see them 'getting it' as they have all re-conned from the demise of 0870! (pun-intended). Maybe I'm fairly alone
Just got a public liability and camera kit insurance renewal from my broker and it has more new clauses than Lapland at Xmas!! Am I going to allow them to put their greedy mitts in my phone bill in order query and then GIVE THEM BUSINESS? Err NO! In fact I've e-mailed them so the commission driven salesman's re-assurances will hopefully be on record and wont cost me an unrecordable chat costing a few quid!
Anyway, I digress. You all happy in general to let suppliers 'dip' into your phone bill to make a few pence and then get your custom?

I use the 'saynoto0870' web site to get a landline number. Then use the free mobile minutes. If no '08' number I try to do it via email/web but sometimes you just have to ring them. So, no to actually boycotting but yes to trying very hard not to add to their profit margins!

my doctors and dentist have now got 0844 numbers
I to use saynoto0870 as well and if not then change companies if i can, i only have a mobile so 0844 can cost me £.50 per minute.
I also complain when i goto the dentists but they know that i have no choice.

Personally I will not do business with anyone using these numbers.
It is the electronic equivalent of paying the postman for a letter with no stamp on it - and they can bin that as well!

I think gvt have just decided not to allow GPs to do this anymore. They are going to be allowed to charge for seating and a reading hire fee for backissues of Womans Own to make up for the phone con though. D

SAYNOTO0870.COM - Non-Geographical Alternative Telephone Numbers FTW!
And if it comes up with no other number, I normally don't use them. Same as a previous poster, I only have a mobile and no landline.

The funny thing is, there is still no one to take the call.
