Holiday Reviews - Hotels, Resorts and Holiday Packages - TripAdvisor
is a website that I use a lot, it will give you an idea of what a hotel is like.
If you are struggling to find somewhere, bookings.com and hotels.com are pretty useful at finding free rooms.

If you stand with your back to the Vic, trun left and walk to the end of the road you'll find the Barley Mow (a tacky modernly revamped hole) and if you turn right you'll find the swan (not sure whats that like now).
ahhh, what I was looking for http://www.thebarley.co.uk
