Yet another Sky HD thread - EPG
Just had it installed and I have the old EPG?? Thought this was fully rolled out now, even the manual has the new EPG in the diagrams...
Can I easily get the new one downloaded, preferably before the champions league on ITV tomorrow night!!

The new EPG is good for one thing and one thing only in my opinion, ITV HD.
Since the new EPG arrived ive had constant lock ups where the new EPG just freezes, also it can be very slow and lethargic to respond. Ive turned the mini tv off as it stops the full page guide from being displayed.

Still not fully rolled out on the Samsung and even less so on the Amstrads. the latter box has an inherent fault where you cant adjust the brightness which means you can request a replacement box. Pace and the Samsng being regarded as the best.

Im Samsung and I have had the new EPG for about 3 weeks. Its greatest change is that you can watch ITVHD now (when they are broadcasting) but not record it. It is good, but not earth shattering. I would imagine the rollout is going to take a while, there seem to be a lot of Samsung users.

I read somewhere today that ITV HD will be available via the usual sky channels soon, if that is the case then I don't mind how long I wait. But in the meantime...!

Amstrad roll-out is happening. (some 70,000 boxes today)
Samsungs are almost all done now.
ITV Hd is ok, but as said, not Earth-shattering.

LOL all I noticed with Star Wars 4 was how sh1te the costumes looked in detail
Offset by the Death Star battle at the end - soooo much more detail.

Jay, Do you have a source for the ITV HD becoming an offical channel soon?
I read that ITV won't pay Sky to add the HD channel to the EPG and that the main point of ITV HD is that it's for Freesat viewers and not Sky subscribers.
