Jason Manford
Went to see him last night in Middlesbrough. Absolutely brilliant. Best Stand-up I've seen. Over ran by 30 minutes it was going so well.
Top bloke. Didn't rely on swearing to get the laughs. Interacted with the audience brilliantly, even though one numpty threatened him when the subject turned to Football. Discruntled p!ssed-up Middlesbrough supporter.
Any one else seen him?
Off to see Edd Burn & Jimmy Carr in November. Booked some tickets last night for Franky Boyle in May.

Thing with frankie boyle is that, his stand up was then split up and used all over mock the week. depends which you see first. but some parts of stand up cannot be on tv which are the jokes i love
"so they found that shannon mathews alive and well then.....so its true what i say.. the ugly ones always turn up alive"
I find the opposite with jason M fatscoobfella, i think hes good stand up, but **** on tv.
What about lee mack then? hes a funny one

Frankie Boyle is MUCH funnier in the structured context of something like Mock the Week - it gives him a comedic tension that he totally lacks on stage. On stage his jokes are funny but he is acting out his routine rather than being funny. He is still one of the most talented comedians in the country - just stand up is not his core strength.
Jimmy Carr on the other hand is outstanding on stage.

Females just arent funny...... Its not in there genetic makeup.People that moan that much havent got a funny bone in there body..
Bob.... I have seen Rhod Gilbert... I do like him,but his manic/shouty style can become tiresome after an hour or so...
I really want to see Sean Lock live....Not had the chance to yet...
My all time favourite comedian i have seen live is Jonny vegas.Seen him in Manchester at the dancehouse theatre. He was just supurb and i had chest pains for 3 days afterwords i laughed that much..Me and a friend carried him on our shoulders in a "jesus" sketch that he performed..
Also seen Jerry Sadowitz do a comedy/magic night....That was just awesome,in a scotch/sweary/drunken kinda way..

Saw Jimmy Carr a couple of years ago - i was a bit disappointed tbh. Maybe i was expecting too much. Don't get me wrong he was still funny, just not as much as i thought he would be.
The one that surprised me when i went to see him was Sean Hughes. He had done a bit of research on the town he was gigging and was just naturally hilarious.
Haven't seen Frankie Boyle but have seen his DVD. Relied too much on swearing for me and i echo the previous comments about him being better on MTW.
Would like to see Jason Manford though - what i've seen of him has been really good.

I saw Jason Manford on 'Live At The Apollo' and thought we was brilliant, would love to see him live.
I am off to see Jimmy Carr in December, so that should be good.

I saw JC earlier this year in Reading. Funny but very close to the bone regarding Paedos etc. Also I know his reputation is for quick fire comedy but for a full show it gets a bit tedious. Nice to have a story built up.
I love Manford and Lock off 8 out of 10 and would like to see both live. Both were at Reading Comedy Festival last year but this year it seems pap with JC the only big player and Ive seen him already.
