Its just another thing to blame for people who cant drive. Dont fine them, take their licences away.

"in 200 yards, mount pavement, cross bus stop, and drive 500 yards the wrong way up a one way street"

If it said it, what percentage of people would follow its instructions? A worrying number I fear!

Suprised its not an X3 or X5 as they usually driven about with a "I can go anywhere, get out of my way" attitude.

The picture says it all. I mean, I'd be wary about taking a mountain bike down that path. The farmer who owns it said he "... would not, as a general rule, take his own horses down because it was so narrow."

But then, it is a BMW ......

Dave

PS: in case anyone is wondering why I read the Sun, I don't! I just used the original link from Italian Job sat nav driver cops £900 fine ? The Register ... Phew. Got out of that one ....
There's loads of ace mountain biking around Calderdale, that bridlepath looks like a good 'un (until the point where I'd lob myself over the handlebars)

A £370 fine and 6 points for taking a wrong turning, no-one was hurt and no property damaged. Seems very steep to me (no pun intended). There's plenty of joyriders whizzing round in stolen cars who get a lot lighter penalties.

This isn't that far from where we live.

The best we've seen so far was a coach turning into a very clearly marked NO ACCESS road. There were three of us standing in front of the coach shouting & waving but the driver just ignored us until he looked properly to see a dead end

What's wrong wi using a map???

It does make you laugh but you have to have some common sense when following a sat nav, think the pin should have dropped when the road ran out to dirt track
