I see the Labour candidate was too scared to take to the stage and sent his wife instead. Swine Flu, indeed...

Is having a good education a bad thing? Something to be ashamed of?

Just heard on the news that this swing to the Tories was mainly due to the expenses scandal..... the one in which MPs of all parties were implicated.

The Labour MP for Norwich north, Dr Ian Gibson, allowed his daughter to live in his tax payer funded second home rent free and then sold it to her at below market value. That's what casued the anger.
We'll probably see more of the same in the general election.

It suffers from a fair bit of aircraft noise. Eton is close to the 2 main westerly SIDS out of LHR, so get's overflown by aircraft heading to Ireland and the heavies going off to the US.

Yes I used to live fairly near to it and the noise is pretty awful.

My question was of course for SSuP, was wondering why he seems so against the pupils at Eton. They always seemed good mannered to me when I saw them around.

Maybe some educated Eton boys would do a better job that the current set of retards and morons in place at present that you seem to love so much.

I'm trying to think of a worse prime minister in my life time and cannot

Do you honestly think that this bunch of plonkers in power at the moment are in any way in touch with the people of this country?
