Default GSM related security products.

Gsm security alarm, mobile alarms, mobile alarm systems, gsm alarms, burglar alarm, intruder alarm, boating equipment, yacht equipment, home protection

Hi,

Has anyone any experience or knowledge of GSM (mobile phone to you and me) related products. Say you had one fitted to a boat and someone attempted to steal it, the device would alert your mobile phone.

Are they any good as a level of security to valuables at another location. Sayyouhad a valuable car stored at a garage 5 miles from home.?

You can get something along the lines of an SMS alerter that is attached to either a simple trigger or an alarm system. When the alarm/switch is trigered it sends a txt to you.

I have one on our house alarm and it sends txts to my phones, wife's phones, neighbour, farm manager and gamekeeper. It can have upto 4 triggers so I have one for panic, one for just alarm and then I could add in say a smoke alarm and maybe one for gas say. Each message is capable of being customisable and can also do pre-recorded voice messages. We live in the boonies so there is no point having an alarm if no-one hears it LOL!!

Tat what you mean?

It is yes, but one trigger would do. Intruder alert sends me a text.

Car Xtreme Security

From the same place £155 for a GSM pager. Runs off a 12/24 volt battery. If you had a car battery how long would it last though. Its for security at a remote garage without electricity.

This product does text you back if the battery is low, and it is only 10Am when armed, which is nothing, which is good if you are storing this vehicle

What about a cheap solar panel to trickle charge the battery to power the GSM enabled alarm.
Alternatively just fit a blo0dy great padlock.
