We've got problems with the Robocop Trilogy discs on our PS2. Plays fine on PC. Read some guff on the web that it is to do with layering (or something????). Robocop 1 will play the whole film but jump a few seconds here and there, Robocop 2 gets near the end and comes up with the can't read disk. You can skip over it though, so it doesn't sound quite as drastic as yours We're thinking about investing in a proper DVD player.....
Looks like some new drivers are required already from Sony
That's the thing with new technology. DVDs will come out with new methods on them, and inevitably won't work fully on some DVD players. In the consumer society we are in, nothing is built to last any more, they just expect you to buy a new one or upgrade all the time

Seen the complete set of Bruce Lee films(DVD) for sale, saying they are uncut etc. But I'm a bit sceptical about what it means. I remember seeing the originals before they cut the nun chuck scenes, and these are top parts of the films, especially Fist of Fury, where it goes on for ages. Will these be on the film, as I don't want to spend £100+ on nothing new

Guys,
do you happen to have the official sony DVD remote control? reason i ask is that has updated dvd drivers (2.10e i think)
I don't have game of death but I do have the region 2 (UK) Robocop trillogy and it plays with no problems at all.
so, it might be a driver thing.

Markus,
I have the Sony DVD remote with drivers
Read somewhere on the net that some people have sent theirs back and got another set of discs that work fine. Me, I'll probably just go and buy a proper DVD player

Get the Official Sony remote and install the drivers, you should have no more problems.
This is why I will stick with a PS2 and not bother with the X-Box, can you see microsh1te realising there is a software problem AND resolving it?
