Sometimes, but not very often, you hear a singing voice which is in a class of it's own. I remember hearing Roger Lloyd Pack for the first time for instance.

This lady has the most glorious singing voice, I had not heard her before. I don't mind admitting it brought a tear to the eye!

Call me a bit mad but yeah she can sing but she looks like Shrek so in all honesty she's past her sell by date looks like a foot and if she wins is probably going to take the place of someone who *may* actually use this opportunity to get a foot in the door of something bigger.

Did you actually watch the program before hearing about her in the newspapers etc?

I did and from the very first second she was on the stage i could tell it was gonna be a "Freak Show" and thats why everyone likes it. Nothing like some ugly bird who lives in a shack and has the skills of a turd to bring out the best/worst in the British public. Just look at our love for another Troll Jade Goody.

That was great! Love it when I see/hear things like that, although it's prompted some fairly over the top reactions from Jamz3k. What exactly is the issue? Are beautiful people (like me of course) the only ones who are allowed to succede in anything?
So she doesn't have a great look but she doesn't have to go into pop music or even show her face on telly etc. to use that great voice of hers. I hope someone gives her a chance! Best of luck to her

the only issue i have with this, is thats its rubbish. I bet there was quite a few people they have interviewed that where just as talented but they have picked her to be shown because she is ugly and it makes great television for idiots. This woman has the X-Factor they are looking for, someone even thicko's that watch this program can relate and aspire too be

Everyone there thought we were going to get a Female Chicken Factory Worker ... she made them all shut up, jaws dropped and they stood to salute her.

Yes, maybe they picked her as they thought it would be "car-crash" but I think she proved them wrong.
Is it that maybe it's people with attitudes like yours that actually seem to do a lot of the watching of these shows? They gleefully watch the 'fatties' and the 'ugly' ones, as you so nicely put it, and then have a great time cussing them afterwards, for whatever reasons.

She can compete all she likes, should she win? no.

As for her beautiful voice, how exactly do you know shes any good, What do u have at home, Standard terestrial TV? Sky? Virgin? Where u listening to it thru audiophile speakers or the speakers attached to ur TV? Very odd to make a judgement on how "good" someone actually is thru a compressed and generally played around with medium.

To be totally honest, i wasnt watching it to see her, i wanted to see

Fabia Cerra , so i had no idea who she was.


When she came on, I was cringing, i honestly thought she was going to be

dire, and said to the other half "why do they do it", thinking that as Pete

said, it was going to be another Chicken Factory Worker lol.

OMG when she started to sing my jaw nearly hit the ground.

and i dont mind admitting i had tears rolling down my cheeks by the end of

the song.

Given some astute management & guidance, she,ll make millions

Its alright, only intelligent people can multi-task like using a laptop whilst listening to television that the other half is watching. Give it time and patience.

My problem is not to do with her looking like Shrek, its that she is being used to bolster a fading program in much the same way the likes of Jade Goody was played upon to up the figures of Big Brother etc. Trust me its not by chance this woman is one BGT at the moment.

Well I must have got it all wrong then. I honestly thought she was there to sing a song. I wonder what kind of a star you will look like at her age.

It does not matter a cat's connection what she looks like in my opinion. In actual fact she did not look all that bad even it she was not a "glamourpuss".

She has worked hard to improve her singing voice over the years and she has more than succeeded. I think she deserves proper credit for her ability rather than unpleasant remarks about her appearance.

Credit where credit is due Leslie, but the only reason she is there, is because Cowell and gang have found someone who they can use to manipulation mass audiences by giving them a fairytale story of the frog that turned into a princess.

Hard to say Jamz, you could be right, but the whole point is that her singing is quite oustanding and I did not think it was fair to hammer her for her appearance.

They've done this before, no? Paul Potts? He was, IIRC, no oil painting but what a voice. I believe he's had something of a makeover since and is reaping the coin worldwide.

That was the X factor, and she only did one album, and never made it in the US which is a sort of litmus test!
