Then watch last nights Question Time, link below, and fast forwards to 44mins 0 seconds.
BBC iPlayer - Question Time: 26/03/2009
The question is about MP's having second homes and the allowances they claim on them.
Eric Pickles, you are an embarrassment.

I think thy guy could do with walking the 30 odd miles to loose some weight lol what a Twitt. In my job i leave the house at 05:20 to make a 30 mile drive to catch a boat to take me to work wich takes half an hour and on certain days of bad weather can put all the rides at Aulton towers to shame then i do a 12 hour shift and at the end of the day i do it all again and get home at around 20:00 hours. Think im going to ask my boss for a second home and see what he tells me

I was watching last night and could see that he was walking straight into it, when in hole stop digging came to mind.
It just goes to show how indefensible this second home stuff is and the whole scam needs to be shut down.
There's a Premier inn just over the bridge from Westminster in the old County Hall, MP's can stay in there when in town.

They just dont get it do they. Lots of people commute unsocialable hours. Its not like they've moved the Houses or Parliamanet recently and caused him to re-locate.
So far divorced from reality. I hope the conservative party are embarrased by him.

Saw summat on the BBC news the other day about a woman MP whose 2nd home is further away from Westminster than her 1st home. She has claimed about 38k for her 2nd home.

It was not good to see was it? Yet another snout in the trough.
It is morally indefensible that they are prepared to claim so much from those allowances for the accommodation that they insist that they need in such cases. No conscience whatsoever!
The other shameful part is that they have generated such wide ranging rules for themselves which allows them to claim with no significant control. Public money should have much tighter controls from these cheating shysters.

Just over £93,000,000 claimed by our 646 MP's last year, at an average of £143962 per head. Ontop of their salary of £60,277.
Nice work if you can get it!

it was a slow moving car crash -- Eric Pickles essentially gives a nice a neat discription of pretty much any Job in Britian
I think somewhere deep in his tiny brain he just realises how stupid he was towards the end
