Tattoo ideas for "In loving Memory"
Does anyone know of any websites where I can view images of tattoos, specifically of Memorial or In loving memory types. Some websites may be catergorised or something? Or if anyone has any good images; ideas?
I am thinking either a medium sized one across upper back or smaller one on top of arm/shoulder??
It is in memory of my mother who passed away from breast cancer aged 51, ten years ago next month.
ps: I have no idea about tattoos & have never ever considered having one till yesterday after watching Miami Ink. An episode in which a girl had a memorial tattoo for her belated brother.
Thanks

The ideas you are looking for are in your mind and memories and not on websites. Think about things that were important and appropriate, THEN search for the relevant images.
Does not have to have names or anything, and can be of anything that means something to you and them.
I consider mine to be markers of important times and people, past and present, but to look at them, most would read nothing more into them than a pretty piece of art (or a tramp stamp) What matters is that YOU know what it means.
PS Tattoos are really not for everyone, but I find them a fitting tribute. Sorry to hear about your mother too. Mine is in the same boat as we speak.

Make sure you find a very good Tattooist, take an idea and let him design it.
The last thing you want is a copy of someone Else's loving memory
Hope you get one you like and it is a fitting tribute.

There is also the route of symbolic representation too. I cant really think of a way that my Japanese Koi piece can be interpreted as a tribute, but the contents of it are just that.
Pink cherry blossoms, one for each family member I have lost to cancer, the koi being my daugter, representing my strength, and so on.
So sometimes it does not have to be obvious to be fitting. I hope that helps rather than confuses you

Finding my artist took a while, but the 150 mile round trip each session is worth it in my view.
While its only for you, there is nothing worse than a badly done tattoo, taking away from the beauty of the sentiment of the piece.

The decision is a personal one, and a tribute that the person considers appropriate, end of really.
Hope you find the right image for the moment mate.
