Two accidents in a week...
Not me - the wife.
Last week in Portsmouth she stopped at a red traffic light without realising that in Portsmouth these are only advisory. This was in a rented Mondeo, the assailant sustained a lot of frontal damage but the Mondeo just had scuffs. I suspect a lot more was bent under the bendy bumper. The other party admitted liability and has informed the insurance company accordingly.
This evening she was driving my son's Fiesta, somebody pulled out from a side road just as she got there and both cars came off the road. Lots of frontal damage, bonnet, lights, bumper, bumper bar, radiator all very bent. One door jammed. The other party admitted liability at the scene, and it was well witnessed.
Now she's worried that these things come in threes, and she's never been involved in an accident in her life, until now...
So a suggestion, inspired by my experience today: Print out all the insurance contact numbers and other details and stick it somewhere safe in the car, like behind the tax disc. I spent ages trying to get the car recovered, and they had loads of questions that I couldn't answer because I couldn't find the stupid details they wanted, while Sue was getting cold at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.

I wouldn't accept a lift from her for a week or two if I were you.....
I'd sneak outside & let a tyre down or something similar & then convince her that was the third thing!!
Good luck (to you both!)
