Lost is finally back tonight on American television. The last series wasn't too bad, although I've completely forgotten what happened.

Tonight will be a re-cap (thankfully) followed by two episodes.

Space has been running all four seasons, one episode each night, and since the 5th Jan, two episodes each night, climaxing tonight with the 4th season finale, which ends just before season 5 starts, nice bit of timing there!
I'd never seen the entire first season or most of the second, so it allowed me to catch up, plus you can see a fair bit of foreshadowing when you know what's coming.

Thankfully we've only got the fifth and sixth seasons to go, so we might finally find out what the heck the island is all about.

if i remember correctly there was far too many unanswered questions in the last season of lost - will have to watch the recaps to remember what has happened

sad now prison break has stopped as well that also ended with loads of questions

Alleged "protection system" for the Island, which appears to have mutated over the years into being a little nuts
If you look at the blast door map, it has CV references, which stand for Cerberus Vent, and these are holes in the ground that the monster is meant to issue forth from, and return to. There was an instance when the monster had a hold of John and was trying to drag him into one of these vents.

I agree it's going to be yet another season of more questions and a few answers, but we're getting there. It's said that we'll see the building of the most important Dharma station, one presumes that's the big "?" on the blast door map.

There is an interesting video that was played at ComiCon last year that reveals someone who isn't who he claims to be, and also gives a clue as to where something might have gone to when someone did something major

If you really cannot wait, or want to know more, visit the spoiler forums on lostpedia. There are some great pictures of the cast on set, which will make you think "WTF? Why are they dressed like that?", plus there are some "from the set" comments about what is going on.

Does anyone know if there is a catch-up episode on Sky?. If so when?

Like most I have forgotten all about it including the blast door map , can't remember that at all.

I've had a quick look at the Sky schedule and it does not appear that there is a recap show beforehand. Seems there is some show about some comedian trying to eek out secrets about season 5 from the cast.

Blast door map wasn't season 4, it was season 2! (I originally thought it was season 3!)

Do you think as I do that the makers will not cover every answer in the end?
It seems they have laid so many tracks along the way it would be impossible to answer everything in the last series.
Just remembering back to previous eps. and unanswered questions:

They were going to explain about the statue in season 4, along with a few other things, one of which was why Libby was in the mental institution, and also what/how Ben ended up in Roussaux's trap (Mad french woman). The Writers strike apparently put pay to them explaining these things, and they'll be addressed in season 5.

The fence, well, it was said in one episode, in an orientation tape that the fence is there to protect the DI from the many and varied different types of wildlife on the island. Plus it obviously stops the monster.

Jacob - I'm sure who/what he/it is will be revealed.

Polar Bear - Well, Dharma was up to some pretty funky experiments, time traveling rabbits and such like, so the bears are no doubt part of them trying to acclimatize the polar ones to another habitat.

The monster/mist. I'm sure there will be mention of exactly what it is.

I do agree there are a hell of a lot of un-answered questions, and maybe they won't tie them all up, but then again, as we've seen, some things could be related in unknown ways, and thus many birds could be killed with fewer stones.

I think your right, they say everything can be explained with physics so they can brush a few untied questions under the rug

My client downloaded S05E02 but no S05E01... was E01 just a recap then?

No, E01 is out there (and I've downloaded it). Several versions were removed as there were framerate issues apparently.

I am looking for E00 which is the recap, but can't find that on any site.

E01 should not have been a recap show, though there was one. I don't suppose the file had a name apart from the season and episode information. I ask as episode one was named "Because You left" and episode two was named "The Lie"

Have you watched it yet? If so, you can tell if you have E1 as it will start with a clock ticking over from 8:14 to 8:15 and a chap getting up to feed a crying baby.

See if a search for "Lost: Destiny Calls" throws up anything, as I'm pretty sure that is the name of the recap show, as the tagline for Season 5 is "Destiny Calls"

I've had a look but cannot seem to find it. It might be on the ABC website, but they only let people in the US view the free episodes, so I can't say if it's there or not.
