Can anyone name any drivers from Wales that have ever won even a single F1 race in its 60 year history, or a single World Rally Championship event in its 35 year existence?

From England, Scotland and Ireland on the F1 side there were the likes of Mike Hawthorn, Peter Collins, Stirling Moss, Tony Brooks, Graham Hill, Jimmy Clark, Jackie Stewart, James Hunt, John Watson, Nigel Mansell, Johnny Herbert, Damon Hill, Eddie Irvine, David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton and possibly a couple more besides that I've forgotten. As for the WRC, I actually can't think of many UK/Ireland WRC event winning drivers at all: eg. Roger Clark, Colin McRae & Richard Burns.

Can anyone fill in some winning Welsh names for me and the event that they won? I don't mean just National or European events either.

Tom Pryce: good spot (horrific death), but he never won a Championship event, which is what I was looking for.

Co-Drivers: not the same thing really, is it?

I'm pretty sure I've seen the video footage of that fatal accident.

I'm sure it was part of an old documentary type film called "Pole position" (I think ) I remember seeing it back in the 1980's.

It was pretty grim.
