How the hell could anyone do this to the old soldiers who have fought for this great country. Watching this tonight on Granada Reports how five bronze panels from a memorial in a Manchester cemetery were stolen.

What is it with people nowadays?
These people fought and died for our country!!!
It takes a lot to really make me angry but this has done it.
All i'd ask is 5 minutes with the scumbags who did this!!!!!

Whomsoever is found guilty of the theft should be deported - end of.
If they are eligible to live in this country - their photo's should be taken and published in National Newspapers detailing all perps. Papers sold for £1 a time - like they do in the US of A.

I suspect it will be the same w4nkers that are removing grids so they can weigh it in, hopefully they will turn up again, that is a lot of work that has gone into those plaques, a lot of heartache for those comforted by seeing their loved ones names and a loss of a historical reference, hopefully they can be replicated. I am sure people would do a whip round to give the pond life the 20 quid they probably got for them, hopefully as they age they will realise the significance of what they have done and feel truly guilty.

Dont know what it is these days, my wifes aunt has some land with public access, wooden or plastic safety signs get scratched initially and then burnt, metal ones prised off and thrown away, why people cant leave things alone I dont know, they must have a lot of time on their hands.

There was a similar theft in Plymouth not long ago. Luckily they were returned from a scrap dealer where the thieves tried to sell them.

It must be a sign of the times unfortunately. It is difficult to imagine how anyone could bring themselves to carry out such a disgraceful action.

I was driving through Bradford the other day and got held up because some thieves had nicked a manhole cover. A car had then driven across it and punctured both tyres front and back.
