I'm guessing Jacko that you are in your late thirties to early forties
I'm 37, and that pretty much echoes my formative years, along with a considerable helping of Cream, Led Zep, Deep Purple and the Yardbirds thanks to my Dad

This thread has brought back some memories!
I was late 60's child. We used to get everything late from the West in those ancient years. Not like now, when the new James Bond movies are already there on pirated videos, before they are even made!
This was the tune I used to dance on, when I was a toddler
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucJtL...eature=related
Teenage back home Involved lots of Indian music like Dum Maro Dum, Kabhi Kabhi type of songs. ( Where's ERA, man?)
Just after teenage, Michael Jackson's Thriller was thrilling the Indian subcontinent, so I thrilled with it too " We used to go around saying "Just Beat It!" all over the place George Michael was getting a bit too popular there with his earring, cheesy hairstyle, and white shorts His " Wake me up, before you go-go" was a boombastic tune for that time
Then, in the UK, I started with Simply Red, Take That (flame me), Ace of Base's All that she wants is another bebeh!, UB40, Mike & The Mechanics's Looking Back Over My Shoulder etc. And now, all sorts I grow older with. From my son's favourite Dance tunes to my daughter's favourite Rock tunes. My own favourite R&B + contemporary pap music gets played in my car too, and some other stuff e.g. Leftfield and the likes
Tribute to the hero Jacko with this remix:

^ Cheesy to some, may be. Sorry about that

Haddaway - what is love
Underworld - Born Slippy (in my late teens)
Simple Minds - Alive and Kicking
U2 - Where the streets have no name
Bruce Hornsby and the Range - The way it is
M. Jackson - Smooth Criminal
All these remind me of my youth and especially times when out in the car with the radio on.
